about Jen & flying Labs

"The most effective way to do it, is to do it." – Amelia Earhart
Jennifer Daniels is a bold and inspiring strategic growth adviser, transformational facilitator and ICF Professional Certified Coach (CPCC, PCC) who partners with business leaders to accelerate growth and maximize value creation by infusing lean entrepreneurial principles into leadership development, executive team performance & impact, strategic planning, operational excellence, outcomes selling & marketing, and change management. She leads Flying Laboratories®, a strategic consulting and leadership growth company serving organizations in healthcare, manufacturing, technology, financial, non-profit and services sectors. The firm's name was inspired by Amelia Earhart’s plane, dubbed "The Flying Laboratory," which she commissioned to advance aeronautical innovation. That same commitment to experimentation, continuous learning and entrepreneurial growth is what fuels Jen's passion for empowering and ennobling leaders and teams to create, grow and lead on the fly.

Jen is also a Professor in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in entrepreneurship and marketing. She serves on the Mission Advancement and Strategic Planning Committees as a Board Member with Catholic Charities Atlanta, and leads the Strategic Planning Committee as a Board Trustee at the Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington, MD. In addition, Jen is the Executive Board Chair for Lax4Community, a 501(c)(3) organization which aims to help more players and their families experience the game of lacrosse by reducing economic barriers and supporting the growth of local youth and high school lacrosse programs.

For over 20 years, Jen held progressive leadership roles with GE in technology, process improvement, sales, marketing and innovation acceleration, which included her serving as a commercial organization executive for an intrapreneurial startup that provided management consulting services to GE's most strategic customers. Jen also held sales and marketing executive leadership positions at ChoicePoint, USIS, and LexisNexis, and was co-founder of Slimpressions® with a patented line of women’s shapewear.

Jen earned her B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland and MBA from Georgia State University. She and her husband, Frank, live in the Greater Atlanta Area where they create, grow and lead on the fly together as the blessed parents of 3 adult sons and 2 dogs.

A love for experimenting and trying new things

She gave us a big clue when she named her plane the “Flying Laboratory” but Amelia Earhart was also pretty outspoken about her love for experimenting so she could always be trying new things. I, too, had a similar passion but as I got older and became more ingrained in Corporate America, I started to bring out those qualities less and less. My career was all about strategizing, planning, executing and hitting the numbers… there wasn’t a lot of room for experimenting and trying new things....
